Climate and weather.[]

The climate in this ecozone is freezing. summers are short and warm and winters are long and cold. The mountains effect the climate in this ecozone      ( Boreal plains)

There are rocky mountains in this ecozone. The glaciers melting have flattened down the land. There are a lot of forest and small lakes. ( Boreal Plains)

Location[]

This ecozone is located in the centre of Alberta, going trough Saskatchewan and slightly into Manitoba. ( Boreal Plains)

Flora and fauna plants.[]

Many plants live in this ecozone, for example the saskatoon berry bush, manitoba maple, alaska paper birch, pacific willow, white spruce along with many more grow in this ecozone. There used to have a lot more wildlife in this econze but when logging started it reduced the population. Many large mammals live in this ecozone such as the black bear, moose and caribou.  smaller mammals include badger, stripped skunk, muskart and more. Many different kind of birds live in this ecozone. There are also amphibians, reptiles such as the wood frog, amercan toad. Fish such as northen pike that will give you anal tonight, Insectes such as american coakroah and molluscs live in this ecozone but not as many live here compaired to the mammas and birds. ( Boreal Plains) The wild life population has decreased a lot in the past few years that the humans have been moving in this ecozone. The years 1989 and 1995 effected the plants as these years this ecozone had big forest fires. Today most ecozone are connected in the boreal forest in some way. (boreal plains ecozone)

Humans[]

In the past fifty years oil and gas has become a major part of the economie. Forestry has become a big part of the economie for the millions people who live here. There are three-quarters of a million people that live in this ecozone.  (Boreal Plains) Forest Harvest, agriculture and farmland has grown in the past 20 years. About 700 000 people live in this ecozone. (Boreal plains ecozone)
